Frequently asked questions
The most common questions about how VALION INSIGHTS works.
How often is my information refreshed?
Automatically, Monday through Friday at 1am (Colombia time) — it does not run on Saturdays or Sundays. If you need to see something more recent, you can force a manual refresh from the button next to your account name on the dashboard, any day. Each refresh (automatic or manual) has a very small real cost in your own AWS account — the detail is in Metrics and in the Terms and Conditions.
What access does Valion have to my AWS account?
Read-only, and nothing else. Valion can never create, modify or delete anything in your account. You authorize that access when you connect your account, and you can revoke it whenever you want from your own AWS console.
Can Valion see the content of my files or databases?
No. We only query configuration, cost and usage information (for example, how many resources you have and how they are configured) — never the content of your data.
What is the security score?
A number from 0 to 100 that summarizes how well protected your account is, calculated from all the security findings detected. The higher the better — and it improves as open findings are resolved.
Are the recommendations applied automatically?
No. Everything you see on the dashboard is a suggestion for your team to review and decide on. No change is applied automatically in your account.
I forgot my password, what do I do?
On the sign-in screen, click the password recovery link. We will send a verification code to your email so you can create a new one.
How do I disconnect my account or cancel the service?
You can revoke access at any time by deleting the read-only role from your AWS console, or by contacting your Valion account executive to arrange the cancellation.
How do I contact support?
Through soporte.valion.com.co, or from the chat assistant inside your own dashboard.
